Day 01 :

Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

Your adventure begins early in the morning with a scenic drive through the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, one of Morocco’s most spectacular roads. Along the way, you’ll pass through traditional Berber villages, terraced farms, and breathtaking mountain landscapes. The first major stop is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, an ancient fortified village famous for its earthen clay architecture and its appearance in many Hollywood movies such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After exploring the kasbah, continue toward Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” In the afternoon, the journey proceeds through the Skoura oasis and the Valley of Roses, eventually reaching Dades Valley, where winding roads and red rock formations create a stunning natural scene. Dinner and overnight stay will be at a charming riad or hotel overlooking the gorge.

Day 02 :

Dades Valley – Todgha Gorges – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, the journey continues along the scenic route of a thousand kasbahs, passing through picturesque Berber villages and palm groves. Your first highlight of the day is the Todgha Gorges, an impressive canyon with towering limestone cliffs reaching up to 300 meters high. Take a short walk through the gorge and enjoy the cool air and the sight of locals herding goats along the riverbed. After lunch, the road leads toward the Sahara Desert, crossing the towns of Tinjdad and Erfoud, known for their fossil workshops. Upon reaching Merzouga, you’ll be greeted by the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Here, your camel awaits to carry you across the sands as the sun sets, painting the desert in hues of orange and gold. Spend the night in a traditional Berber desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner under a sky filled with stars, accompanied by drumming and traditional nomadic music around the campfire

Day 03 :

Merzouga – Draa Valley – Marrakech

Wake up early to witness the magnificent sunrise over the dunes—a truly unforgettable moment. After breakfast at the camp, ride your camel or take a 4x4 back to Merzouga village, where you’ll meet your driver for the return journey. The road back to Marrakech takes a different route through the vast Draa Valley, famous for its endless palm groves and ancient kasbahs. You’ll pass through the desert town of Agdz and cross the Anti-Atlas Mountains before reaching Ouarzazate for lunch or a short visit. In the afternoon, you’ll continue your journey back across the High Atlas Mountains, arriving in Marrakech by evening, where your memorable 3-day desert adventure comes to an end.
